A Beulah pensioner has vowed to fight a council ruling so he can keep his pet rooster Charlie. Peter Fischer, 74, applied for a permit to keep the rooster at his residential property but Yarriambiack Shire councillors denied the application after receiving objections from his neighbours.

Horsham’sSt Brigid’s College students will raise awareness of homelessness with a sleep-out this week.

Horsham’s St Brigid’s College students and Young Vinnies committee members Millie Friend, Imogen Chesterfield, Esther Craig, Aily McAuliffe, Ashley Hobbs and Claire Burke with one of the blankets they have made for St Vinnies.
