THE North West Tall Timbers Thunder held off a determined Albury/Wodonga Bandits to win 86-78 in Saturday night’s SEABL game in Ulverstone.
The Thunder led by as much as 27 points in the second quarter but the Bandits closed that gap to just two points mid-way through the last quarter.
New Thunder import Garrett Jackson stepped up in crunch time,scoring eight consecutive points, including a spectacular alley-oop, to restore a match-winning lead.

Jackson finished with 30 points, while Nathan Wilson (23 points) and Fred Hunter (13 points) were also influential.
The win snapped a four-game losing streak for the Thunder.
Thunder coach Phil Thomassaid the teampossibly went into their shell after a blistering first 20 minutes, arguably their best first half of the season.
